Updates . . . .

Wow it been Two months since we planted the tomatoes and surely I have seen God's guidance and wisdom.

Basically the farm moved from my back yard to my village . . . the land where i will eventually lay to rest - if there will be space because I am hoping to utilize it all in agriculture.
I am continually challenged by the kind of lack i come by when I visit the village, every one is looking for someone to bail them out of hunger and lack.

Right now we have recorded the heaviest down pour in over about 58years (as per the weather man  -  did he forget about Elnino), but what are we doing about it except whining about floods and too much rains. I promise one month after the rains we will have no water and no food because what has been planted is being washed away now!

I am not too convinced that the government will do much unless we just take control of our own lives and make them better. People need to harvest water, we need to plant trees as much as we can and we need to adopt the modern ways of farming that give maximum output.

I have one permanent employee and two temporary one who come in as there is demand for work .

We begin to harvest the tomatoes in the next two weeks God willing and I am busy now looking for buyers around Bondo and Siaya, amazingly in like two days we have had a list of ready buyers.

Eventually i will put my cost of running  this business for your guidance but all I can say is anyone can do this and excel as long as you have someone to manage the farm and a good consultant/ constructor who advises and visit the site as demand arises.

Phase two of the project is on watch this pace . . .
